You didn’t hit rock bottom. Nothing dramatic happened. You just got tired.
Tired of the 2am wake-ups. Tired of the running commentary in your head that never has anything nice to say. Tired of functioning perfectly on the outside while feeling like you’re watching your own life from behind glass. π§
Hi, I’m Jodie π©πΌβπ¦±, a clinical hypnotherapist and psychotherapist in East London, and I help women get out of survival mode and back in control of their anxiety, their mood, and their confidence. Not by digging through your past. By working with how your brain actually works, so you can move forward.

If you’d asked me 10 years ago, I’d have called myself anxious, self-conscious, and an over-thinker. Panic attacks were a normal part of my life. I’d cancel plans last minute, feel overwhelmed at the thought of leaving the house, and I genuinely believed this was just who I was.
I tried everything. Counselling, meditation, other therapies. I’d feel better for a bit, then end up stuck in the same cycles again. I was exhausted. I didn’t want to keep talking about the past. I wanted solutions for how to move forward.
Then I found hypnotherapy. I was sceptical, desperate, and out of options, and it turned out to be the best decision I’ve ever made. It felt like my brain had been reset and upgraded, and I was a completely different person after just 8 sessions.
If I can do itβ¦ so can you. π«ΆπΌ
Here’s the thing no one tells you: anxiety isn’t a personality. It’s not a flaw in you. It’s a brain chemistry problem, and it has a solution.
When life fills up your stress bucket, all the little things that never get emptied out, your brain tips into survival mode. Your primitive, cortisol-driven brain takes over from your rational, intellectual mind, and it starts treating everyday life like a threat. And because your brain can’t tell the difference between imagination and reality, all that worrying keeps the bucket topped right up.
That’s why you can’t just think your way out of it. You’re not weak, and you’re not too far gone. Your brain is doing exactly what it was designed to do: keep you alive, not keep you happy. Once you understand that, we can start showing it a different way. β¨
Solution-focused hypnotherapy works with your brain to bring the cortisol down and build new, calmer patterns. Together, we’ll:
You’ll understand your own brain, and you’ll learn how to use it to your advantage. That’s what changes everything.
Anxiety looks different for everyone. I work with women experiencing:
Whatever it looks like for you, nothing is too silly or too small to work on. We’ll find the way forward together.

“I never thought I’d be able to replace the anxious voice in my mind with a warm one, a voice that gives me a sense of safety.”
Yes. Solution-focused hypnotherapy works by calming your brain’s stress response and building new, calmer patterns of thinking, so many of my clients notice a real shift within just a few sessions. It’s not magic; it’s neuroscience.
This is the worry I hear most, and I get it, especially when you’re already anxious. You’re in control the whole time. Hypnosis is just a deeply relaxed state, like that drifty feeling right before sleep. You can’t be made to do anything you don’t want to.
Solution-focused hypnotherapy is designed to be relatively brief. We’re focused on moving forward, not open-ended therapy. We’ll talk through a realistic plan once we start working together.
Because this works on the brain, not just the narrative. So many women come to me having done CBT, counselling, or medication feeling like they’re “too complex to fix.” You’re not. You just haven’t worked with your brain’s chemistry yet.
Absolutely. Online sessions over Zoom are just as effective as in person, and lots of my clients across the UK prefer the convenience.
My office is in Leyton, East London, easy to reach from Walthamstow, Chingford, Leytonstone, and across East and North London and Essex. Or we can work together online, wherever you are.
Over 400+ women have quietened the anxious voice, got out of survival mode, and started feeling like themselves again. You can too.
Here when you’re ready. π«ΆπΌ
