Frequently Asked Questions

  • Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a therapy that combines psychotherapy, neuroscience and hypnosis.

We focus on the solution, moving forward and what you want to achieve, rather than the problem that prompted you to seek therapy in the first place.

It’s a great therapy for people who struggle to open up and who don’t want to spend hours talking and dwelling on past events that we cannot change.

The forward-thinking approach is to build a clear vision of the future you desire, focus on the solutions to your challenges and achieve your life goals.

  • So before your mind starts wondering, hypnosis is not what you see in the movies; there are no waving pocket watches and it’s not mind control.

Also known as trance, hypnosis is a deep state of relaxation and focused attention that can be highly beneficial and enjoyable experience.

It is a natural state of consciousness and is completely safe, you are in control at all times and will not accept or do anything against your will.

By tapping into the subconscious mind we can dissolve unwanted behaviours and thought patterns, creating lasting positive changes that benefit the individual's mental and emotional well-being.

  • Being in a hypnotic state is a very relaxing experience, which is encouraged by using guided relaxation.

When you're in a trance state, your mind can relax, explore and utilise ideas and solutions discussed for positive benefit.

Some people will drift off into a light sleep, some will say their body feels heavy, while others will feel like they're in a bit of a daydream.

There is no right or wrong way of being in a trance, and it will be a different experience for each person.

  • Every client and challenge is different, 8-12 sessions are recommended but some clients have achieved their desired results in less.

If you are committed to the therapy, results will be achieved sooner. Positive results can be felt as soon as the session 1.

  • My fees for Hypnotherapy are £100 per session. (50 minutes)

Most clients will take advantage of the block offer, you can book a group of 6 sessions for £480. (saving of £120).

Your next appointment will be arranged at the end of each session. If you would prefer to book more than one session in advance, this is possible too.

Each session will be either in person or via Zoom and will last up to one hour. You must arrive on time to ensure you gain the most from the session.

  • Life is imperfect and things crop up which can get in the way of therapy. I will always endeavour to accommodate your needs and to reschedule sessions should you need to.

However, because I have many clients to accommodate I operate a 24-hour cancellation policy. This means that I require 24 hours notice to reschedule a session. Equally, in the very unlikely event that I should need to reschedule, I will always provide 24 hours’ notice.
